Innovative technology company, Avadim Technologies Inc., partnering with Amethyst Technologies LLC to distribute Theraworx™ in Ghana, working alongside Ghana Military utilizing Hospital Acquired Infection Prevention Protocols

Asheville, NC (November 24, 2014) Avadim Technologies, Inc., manufacturer of Theraworx™ patented technology has been approved to sell and distribute product in Ghana, West Africa. Approval came on November 10, 2014, by the country’s Food & Drugs Authority (FDA).

Avadim President, David Fann, and CEO, Steve Woody, will be traveling to meet with Ghanaian representatives mid-December to establish logistics in getting the Asheville made products to Africa. In addition, discussions with Kenya and other African countries are underway.

Initial testing of the Theraworx patented technology in African laboratories have thus far been positive and results of additional testing are pending.

Consistent with the company’s vision to provide products and protocols for infection prevention globally, Avadim’s Theraworx suite of products will be tested at the neonatal intensive care unit of Ghana’s premier military hospital, with the possibility of replication at other facilities.

The Ebola epidemic in western Africa has opened up additional interest for the use of Theraworx Technology.  Kimberly Brown Ph.D, CEO of Amethyst Technologies, stated “Due to the total body safety of Theraworx™, including the face and perineal areas, we look forward to using Theraworx as an additional tool in protecting healthcare workers and military personnel serving in Ebola areas.”

Steve Woody stated, “We are gratified by the approval of the Ghana FDA, and look forward to bringing Theraworx to the people of Ghana and other African nations.”
